1. What is International Road Racing Championship
The International Road Racing Championship (IRRC) is a championship which is held over 5 events (see calendar) and which are registered in the UEM or FIM calendar. The contests are allowed by the national federation of the respective nations and meet the requirements of these federations.
The organisation is in the hands of Hamove Hengelo Gld (Nl), Frohburger Dreieck (D) and K.V. Ostend Motor Sport vzw (B).
2. Schedule 2012
This year’s schedule is:
- 28 & 29 April : Schleiz - Germany
- 19 & 20 Mai : Hengelo – Holland
- 28 & 29 July : Chimay – Belgium
- 18 & 19 August : Terlicko – Czech Republic

3. Licenses
It is mandatory that each participant has a license issued by a European federation, recognized by the UEM or FIM.
The participant needs the authorization of his national federation in order to go abroad and to participate in contests appearing on the calendar of the FIM and UEM.
The allocated license has to allow the participant to line up in the Supersport and / or Superbike class.
4. Races
Five contests are scheduled (see calendar) and the programme provides for 2 races in each contest. The races are driven according to the FIM regulations.
5. Training
For every contest, at least two trainings of 25 minutes are foreseen.
Recording of the time is done by means of a transponder. Before every training or race, it is mandatory that each participant has a well-functioning and adequately charged transponder mounted on the motorcycle with which he will participate.
If a participant decides to use a personal transponder, he has to pass the number of the personal transponder to the time keeping at least one hour before the first training.
A contestant has to participate to at least one timed training during an event before he can participate in the races.
For each event there is a limited number of allowed participants. This means that it is possible that a candidate cannot participate to the race because he or she is not qualified. Participants who ride the whole championship (championship riders) have no priority over contestants who only participate in one or a few races (guest rider). The qualification is determined by the fastest time of each contestant. It is the decision of the organizer of the event to provide an additional competition for non-qualified contestants. This is not an obligation. If a championship rider or guest rider did not qualify, he cannot claim a refund of his fee.
6. Technical Inspection
The motorcycle and all accessories have to be presented for inspection by the Technical Inspection before they can participate in the training.
The choice of the tyres is not bound to any regulations.
